Livonian Language in the 21st century
ISTD Typography Book project 2019 responding to the brief 'Lost'. My title 'Livonian in the 21st century'. Livonian, the most endangered language in Europe. Livonian is a Finnish language. It is a extinct tongue, with its last native speaker having died in 2013. It is closely related to Estonian. The native land of the people is the coast on the Gulf of Livonia.
Located in Latvia in the north of the Kurzeme region. According to a 2017 census, there are 250 people who identify as Livonian in Latvia today. The purpose of this book is to inform and promote the Livonian language and culture. Typeface - Tanger serif, Works san-serif.
