Opera Poster Banished

This project is created in collaboration with IADT fourth year sudents for Design and Screen and RIAM.My brief was to create visual identity for the opera, poster, booklet and online promotin. It is a compelling story of women who survived against all odds on long, arduous and gangerous passage.Music and script of the opera is carrying sadness and pain and to redescover this mood i am using contrast of dark and bright also simbolising the hope of young women.

The Royal Irish Academy of Music is proud to present the Irish première of Stephen McNeff ’s Banished, an adaptation of Steve Gooch’s play, Female Transport, to a libretto by Olivia Fuchs. Putting young women firmly centre-stage, this brave new work tells the compelling story of women who were transported to Australia in the last years of the eighteenth and early nineteenth centuries and their survival.
